West Bengal Land, People and Economy

West Bengal is on the eastern India, stretching from the Darjeeling Himalayas in the north to the Bay of Bengal in the South. At present, West Bengal is the third largest economy in India. An attempat is made here to present on analytical occount of the land, people and economy of the state of West Bengal. The author tries to highlight the geographical settings which exert their influence on people and their various activities including planning and economic development of the state. This small book would be of immense help to students, scholars, teaching community, condidates taking different competitive examnination, tourists and planners including policty makers of the state.
