Problems of Growing Indian Cities

This book has been written on the findings recorded in the Doctoral thesis entitled 'Problems of Growing Indian Cities : A Case Study of Bhagalpur, submitted in Patna University. It reveals numerous urban problems being faced by most Indian cities and towns of different hierarchical orders in general and Bhagalpur in particular. More emphasis has been laid on environmental, demographic, socio-economic and planning problems and suggestions for solutions of the concerned problems. It is expected that this book will enable the students and scholars of various disciplines like Geography, Sociology, Economics. Demography, Planning etc. to know the real urban problems of unplanned Indian urban centres and find out solution of the problems.
