Myths and Reality is an enduring classic of anthropological-historical scholarship. It is based on a critical study of various source material including literary texts, megaliths. Microliths, rustic, superstitions and peasant customs. \nModern scientists must work hand in hand with archaeologists. Archaeologists must visit devastated sites of the past with modern scientific apparatus. The historian who seeks the truth must again begin to doubt everything that is established because from the womb of doubt springs the yearning for knowledge. \nThe present work is an analysis of various factors which are required to be considered while expressing ideas about the past i.e. history. The available materials in the archives, the records of the Archaeological Survey of India, interviewing the local residents as well as the use of experts from all the fields will enrich the history writing. This sensitive work is not to be done in isolation. The other branches of social sciences can supplement a lot and therefore, the doors should be kept open to accept the innovative ideas irrespective of the sources from where the same are coming. Complete impartiality should reflect in the work otherwise history writing will definitely loose its credibility. The book also incorporates the views of the experts from different fields and also highlights some of the forgotten heroes as example in order to invite the scholars to emphasize more concentration on the research work.
