Meghalaya Land, People and Economy

Meghalaya, the abode clouds is one of the tribal dominated states of India. The hilly topography of the state has largely shaped its economy and the development of this tiny state is intimately associated with the development of villages and small urban centres. The aim of this small book is to present an analytical account of the land, people and economy of the state of Meghalaya. The author tries to highlight the geographical settings which exert their influence on people and their activities including planning and development of the state and it deserves the attention of the student, teachers, researchers and policy makers of the state.
