The tale of Indian struggle for freedom cannot be completed without mentioning the role and achievement of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad as a freedom fighter or as President, Indian National Congress or as a noble councellor of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru or as a critic to Mahatma Gandhi for his soft deals with Jinnah or a secular nationalist or the first education Minister of Independent India or a leader who was dead opposed to the partition of India. \nMaulana was keenly aware of economic issues of the country as well. As he observed "The real Problem of the country was economic, not communal. The difference related to classes not to communities".
