Loktak and Its Environment in Manipur

Geography as an environmental science and facets of man-environment relationship have changed through time and space with the development of human society and the dimension of environment. Human impacts on the natural environment have universally one of the most pressing issues and his roles in the natural process have very attractive to the natural and social scientists, planners and administrators. The increasing level of population and technology are the significant responsible factors for changing our environment. \nThe Technology has produced several environmental problems and technology can solve these problems. Desertification and conservation of wet lands side by side is men's induced on environment in this changing scenario of the landscape. Loktak the largest fresh water lake of the north-east India has faced a crucial problems on its environment.
