Input-Output models are being extensively uded for economic planning both at the regional as well as sub-regional levels. The subject being highly technical, theoretical explorations in the fields are generally of matrix Analysis and couched in highly mathematical language. The researchers and policy-makers uninitiated to the obstract logic of modern algebra often find it difficult to keep track of these developments and use them. In this book, an attempt has been made to present, in a simplified form, the mathematical structure of Input-Output analysis. Difficult concepts and their operations have been explained with the help of numerical examples. Illustrations have been given regarding various applications of these models.
