This is a biography of a distinguished member of the Agra Bar and of the High Court of Allahabad, a nominated member of the first Legislative Council of the N.W. Provinces, a fellow both of the Calcutta and Allahabad Universities. He was one of the most patriotic and fearless leader of his times and spearheaded the first ever open opposition to the British Imperialism in the eighteen-ninetees. He was equally a journalist, lay lecturer, and a social worker. His interests were varied and he had a flourishing business besides his lucrative practice at the Bar. He was unsparing and outspoken. He had made a mark, which it would be difficult for a single man to achieve or aspire. Such a man is rare in all time.
