Ethnic Process in North East India

Ethnic Conflict and identity question in North-East India is one of the significant areas of research in contemporary social science disciplines. The present book is an attempt to examine some of the crucial issues related with ethnic process in North East India, within the overall frame work of the ongoing ethnic movements in the region. The cognate tribes of the Zemis, Liangmeis and Rongmeis - belonging to the bigger Naga constellation experienced a unique form of ethnic process and identity formation during their prolonged struggle against colonialism and socio economic under development.
