About the Authors | Dr. Azizur Rahman Siddiqui was born on 30th June 1970 in Fatehpur district of Uttar Pradesh. He is having an illustrious academic record. He obtained his B.Sc and M.Sc degree from Aligarh Muslim University. He is throughout first division in his academic career. Further, he has been awarded his M.Phil degree in Geography in the first division and was awarded Ph.D degree on the topic 'Regional Evaluation of Desertification Hazards in the Arid Lands of Western Rajasthan' in 2003 from A.M.U. under the supervision of Prof. Salahuddin Qureshi, A.M.U. Aligarh Dr. Siddiqui qualified UGC-NET in June 1997 and qualified Agricultural Research Services NET in Oct. 1997 conducted by ICAR, New Delhi. He also completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Geoinformation Science and Earth Observation Science specialization Geo-Hazard from the Indian Institute of Remote Sensing, Dehradun, NRSC-ISRO & ITC the Netherlands in April 2009. He has completed NNRMS training course and three international training course sponsored by United Nation. Dr. Siddiqui enjoyed university fellowship for two years and was appointed as a permanent lecturer in NREC P.G. College, Khurja Bulandshahar, C.C.S. University, Meerut on 05.11.1999 and later he joined the Department of Geography, University of Allahabad from 20.01.2001. He was elevated as Reader in the year 2009, Associate Professor in 2012, and Professor in 2015. Professor A.R. Siddiqui, was appointed as Head of the Department of Geography from 14th February 2020 to 14th February 2022. He has been teaching UG and PG classes since his joining of the service. His specialization is in arid zone research, environmental geography, agricultural geography, urban geography, and application of remote sensing and GIS application in land degradation studies, urban environment and agricultural geography. He has supervised 15 Ph.D. students and published 45 research papers in peer-reviewed journals and attended more than 77 national and international conferences. He is also Co-editor of four books including one book published from springer nature. He is recipient of Excellence award for the year 2018 conferred by University of Allahabad. Professor A.R. Siddiqui also organized two International Conference as a Convener of the Conference. He also delivered about 130 lectures in different UGC HRDC of Indian Universities and also in Universities/Colleges of India. He has visited France, Russia, China, Belgium, Netherlands, Switzerland, Italy, Austria, Greece, Hungary, Nepal, etc. for academic purposes. Prof. Siddiqui was also Dean Students Welfare in university of Allahabad two times. Presently he is having the responsibility of International students Advisor of of university of Allahabad, former Chairman & Member Data Cell, Nodal officer NIRF/AISHE, etc. He is holding the post of Senior Vice President of Allahabad University Teachers Association (AUTA) since 2016. Professor A.R. Siddiqui is also holding the post of Secretary General, Indian Institute of Geomorphologists popularly known as IGI earlier he was Treasurer also. He is member of several academic bodies. He is member of academic council of Rajarshi Tandon Open University Prayagraj and also member Academic Council Professor Rajendra Singh (Rajju bhaiyya) Allahabad State University. PROFESSOR ANUPAM PANDEY Born in Allahabad, Professor Anupam Pandey is having brilliant Academic Record. He is through first division in his career. he has been awarded D.Phil degree from University of Allahabad. Professor Anupam Pandey qualified UGC-JRF in June 1998. He obtained his M.Sc. degree in Remote Sensing and GIS from ITC Netherlands. He appointed as Lecturer in the department of Geography, University of Allahabad in 2001. Currently he is working as Professor and holding the responsibility of Head of the Department, University of Allahabad. He is widely recognised teacher and well recognised researcher. He has published several research papers in well recognised Journals of India and abroad. He is author of book and delivered about 75 lectures in UGC HRDCs and different universities and colleges. He is various post of responsibilities and life member of various academic bodies. DR. ASHWAJEET CHAUDHARY Dr. Ashwajeet Chaudhary is working as Associated Professor in the Department of Geography, University of Allahabad. Dr. Ashwajeet is having good academic record. He has completed his B.A. degree from DDU University, Gorakhpur. He has been awarded his M.A. in Geography from Delhi School of Economics, University of Delhi. He has been awarded D.Phil degree from Allahabad University. He joined Department of Geography, University of Allahabad in 2004 as Lecturer currently he is working as Associate Professor in Department of Geography, University of Allahabad. He has published several research papers in well recognised journals of India and abroad. He is holding various post of Administrative responsibilities in University of Allahabad. |
