The book “CHANGING SCENARIO OF EARTH” is multi-disciplinary in nature. This volume is largely an outcome of papers presented during the International seminar during 2023. This edited volume includes 35 articles covering different facets of Geography, Social science and Environment. A profound transformation of Earth’s scenario is now apparent, owing not to the great forces of nature or to extraterrestrial sources but to the numbers and activities of people - the phenomenon of global change .This transformation has undergone a profound acceleration during the second half of the 20th century. About the Authors | Manjari Sarkar (Basu), M.A., Ph.D has been working as Associate Professor and Head, Deptt of. Geography, Kandra R. K.K. Mahavidyalaya, affiliated to The University of Burdwan. She was awarded Doctoral degree in the year 1998 from the University of Burdwan. Dr. Sarkar Basu) had completed her Post- Doctoral work in 2011 ( UGC Funded Research Associate ship). She has been teaching and having research experiences of 31 years in different colleges under the University of Burdwan, West Bengal. Dr. Sarkar (Basu), has published four books and more than 36 research papers which were published in International, National level journals and chapter of books. She also presented about 48 nos. research papers. Dr. Sarkar (Basu) achieved 2nd position in Young Scientist Award in the year 2006. Dr. Sarkar (Basu) was invited as resource person in different International, National & State level seminars. She also chaired in different National level webinars & seminars. She has completed four major and minor research projects funded by UGC, and ICSSR. Her interest of research is mainly confined with terrain evaluation, waste land management, microfinance and social mobilization. She was invited in Fourth Global conference on Economic Geography 2015, at the University of Oxford, U.K., Second International conference on Asian studies 2014, held in Colombo, Srilanka, and Universal Academic Cluster International Conference in Bangkok in 2017. She achieved International Kahinoor Award in the July 2018 and Vidya Ratan Award in the April 2018. Dr. Sarkar (Basu) is associated with various academic bodies as an examiner, board member, administrator, resource person and subject expert of Geography & Environment Studies in different colleges, universities and institution. She was the convener of U.G.C. sponsored National level seminar held in December 2015 and convened of International level webinar in 2020 & 2021, International workshop in June 2023, National level and International seminar in August 2023.
