About the Authors | Dr. Surendra Singh Jatav is currently working as Assistant Professor at the Department of Economics, Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University (BBAU), Lucknow, India. He did Ph.D from BBAU, Lucknow, M.Phil. from Bundelkhand University. Prior to joining BBAU, he worked as guest faculty at the Central University of Jammu, Research Associate at ICAR-National Institute of Agricultural Economics & Policy Research, New Delhi, and Senior Research Fellow at ICAR- Indian Agriculture Statistics Research Institute, New Delhi. He has been published more than 60 papers in highly cited and internationally recognized journals. He also wrote a book "Climate Change and Agriculture in India: Vulnerability to Adaptation. He is currently teaching Master's and Ph.D students. His major research area are climate change, Indian agriculture, livelihood security, food security, livelihood vulnerability of rural farmers and urban slum dwellers, rural credit, farmers' perception of climate change. Dr. Mohamad Awais is currently working in the Centre of Agricultural Education, Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh. He did M.Sc. (Ag.) Agricultural Economics and Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics & Business Management from AMU, Aligarh. Dr. Awais worked as Assistant Professor, School of Agriculture, Sanskriti University, Mathura (U.P.), Research Associate in ICAR-NIAP, New Delhi, Research Assistant in ICSSR, New Delhi, Post-Doctoral Fellow in the Department of Geography, AMU, Aligarh and Research Officer in the Department of Commerce, AMU, Aligarh. He has authored/edited more than half dozen books, score of papers in journals of national, international repute and chapters in edited books. Dr. Awais also presented papers in national and international conferences and seminars. Apart from academic publications, he has written a number of popular articles in various newspapers and magazines in Hindi and Urdu languages. His fields of interest are agricultural economics, environment and rural management. |
