Rural-Urban Fringe is a neglected field of research both by urban geographers as well as by regional planners. It is a zone where Urban sprawl takes place and it is equally important for agricultural produce of the city. The author has made an exhaustive study of the rural-urban fringe and has suggested the land use planning. She has presented a model which is entirely different from Von Thunen's model by examining the trend of diffusion of agricultural innovation.
