About the Author

Dr. Tapeshwar Singh joined as Lecturer of geography in 1977 and became Reader in teh Department of geography, MMH College (Chaudhary Charan Singh University), Ghaziabad. He is a prolific writer and has contributed over 60 research papers published in reputed national and international journals and proceeding of the conferences. He has also the privilege to accomplish a major research project sanctioned by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India on climate variability and change. His other works include Drought Prone Areas in India (1978) and Drought Disaster and Agricultural Development in India (1995), Peoples Publishing House, New Delhi, and Resource Conservation and Food Security (2004) Concept, New Delhi. In his academic pursuit Dr. SIngh has widely travelled in many countries of Asia, Europe and Australia.
